As with automobile accidents, most motorcycle accidents are preventable and occur because of the negligent operation of a vehicle. Injuries from motorcycle accidents are even more likely than those in automobile accidents, and the damage to the motorcycle can easily render it unusable.

You can make a claim for your injuries and economic losses. Thomas D. Lininger & Associates has handled hundreds of motorcycle accident cases and is well versed in the unique issues involved with such accidents.

What To Do After A Motorcycle Accident:

- Do not leave the scene. Call the police immediately and ensure that they complete an incident report. Do not admit fault. Be sure to tell the police officer about any injuries you might have sustained.
- Get the license plate numbers of all vehicles involved, as well as the license plate numbers of all potential witness vehicles.
- Get information from the drivers of all other vehicles involved, including: name, address, driver's license number, phone numbers, and insurance information (carrier, policy number, and contact phone number).
- Get contact information from all potential witnesses and any one else who may have been involved in the accident.
- Seek medical attention immediately, regardless of how minor or superficial your injuries may seem to be. Even if you appear to have no injury initially, you should still seek immediate medical attention (some injuries are not apparent immediately).
- Sketch the scene and how the accident occurred.
- Take photographs of the scene, of all vehicles involved, and of the damage to the vehicles.
- Take photographs of your injuries (cuts, scrapes, bruises, stitches, casts, etc.).
- Do not give any statement to the other party or their insurance company without first consulting the Law Offices of Thomas D. Lininger & Associates.
- Follow your doctor's orders.
